A colourful, magnificently showing the blending of races, cultures and religions that came from Africa just after the discovery of America The history of this show commences start when the Spanish colonial rulers deported hundreds of thousands of African slaves to America.
They were cruelly kidnapped from their village communities and dragged into their “new homeland” where, as slaves, they were only allowed to keep their religion and culture. Mythical rhythms and dances are now our favourite ballroom and top dancing’s like rumba flamenca, tango, samba, salsa, Caribbean rhythms and much more all this came from the Sugar Island.
Sugar Island is a tribute to the great contribution of African heritage to American identity, leading to an intense display of choreography to the beat of the drums.
